Most of our renters take extra care when renting our garments, however, we do understand that accidents happen every now and then. We want to take some of the stress away from you when hiring with us! Damage Insurance is a small protection fee available to all renters to cover minor damages and marks to your garment.
Despite this, please still be considerate with our rentals and treat them as you would your own clothing! T&Cs still apply for garments damaged beyond repair/unremovable marks. This is simply for protection of minor marks and damages.

Our Insurance option covers you for common and accidental damage that may occur during your hire period. Damage covered includes:

  • Broken Zips
  • Minor loose threads or straps (not multiple pulls)
  • Small (quite unnoticeable) Holes or loose seams
  • Loose/Lost Buttons, Jewels (not essential parts of the garment eg. ties)
  • Removable Stains

Please note carefully:

Insurance does not cover damages that ruin a garment, leaving it unable to be re-hired. If a garment is damaged beyond repair, the full recommended retail price will be charged in accordance with our terms and conditions.

Insurance is only available at the time of booking a garment and cannot be added after collection / dispatch of the garment.

If Insurance is not purchased and garment is returned damaged; you can be held liable for all repair costs incurred by Loop Vault including:

  • Mending Fees/Seamstress repair costs
  • Dry Cleaning Stains
  • Missed Hire Bookings due to damage / repair delays

All decisions as to whether a garment is capable of repair and re-hire will be undertaken in consultation with a seamstress / dry-cleaner as necessary and the decision of Loop Vault is final and binding on the client.


What's not included in the Damage Waiver: 
  • Loss of the item
  • Rips, tears, holes, cigarette burns (any damage that is beyond repair)
  • Large staining to the dress or unremovable marks
  • Misplacing or losing a part of the garment (e.g a strap or extra piece on the dress) 
  • Sending back the garment incorrectly (such as sending a dress back via a post drop box/street drop box)
  • Late returns (The damage waiver will NOT cover late returns, these will still be invoiced to you)
The rented garment must come back to us even if it is accidentally damaged. The damage waiver is non-refundable, it is simply a back-up to save you from paying for the minor damages. This damage waiver covers basic repairs and marks that will come out with general cleaning/dry cleaning, it does not cover damages that are unrepairable or marks/stains that are unremovable.
Please note 1x damage waiver protection is for 1x item in the cart only. If you would like more items covered in your order total, you will need to add extra damage insurance cover to your order. If you have 2 items in your cart and only 1x damage waiver, this will only cover minor damages to the lower priced rental.

What Happens After Booking?

HIRE PERIODS are usually 3-4 days long unless otherwise arranged with us. (Eg. If you pick up your hire on a Friday, return day will be Sunday or by Monday the latest)


Pick-up is usually the day before your event. If you select the "Pick Up" option at checkout, an email/text will be sent when your hire is ready for pick up, together with further collection details. To ensure someone is available to deliver your order, please respond with your preferred collection time.


Weekend hires are usually posted out every Monday/Tuesday to ensure ample time for your hired garment to arrive. If you've selected the Express Shipping option at checkout, you will be notified via email 2-5 days ahead of your event date when we've sent out your hire. This will include your Australia Post tracking number. Do ensure you track your parcel's transit closely!


If you're hiring with Loop Hires for the first time, we may need to collect some personal details from you before confirming your hire. A separate email will be sent after checkout. Please note that your hire will not be confirmed until all necessary details have been received by us.

Delivery & Returns


We offer express post Australia-wide! Your hire will arrive before or on your selected booking start date.


For customers based outside of Brisbane and needing hires express posted to you, please ensure orders are placed at least 4 business days before your event to allow ample time for your item to arrive.

We will not be liable for late deliveries that were placed outside of this timeframe.

Last-minute Brisbane pickups from our Toowong location are welcome throughout the weekend.


All postal orders include a prepaid, pre-filled return satchel/label. Simply place your hire back into the provided return satchel and post it back over the counter at any Australia Post outlet before 2pm (or 12pm in rural areas) on the last day on your booking period. If the last day of your hire falls on a weekend or public holiday, please lodge it the following business day when post offices are open.

Retain a copy of proof of post. Do not post returns via a street mailing box.

If dropping off your return in person, please return your hire to our Toowong location by 7pm on the last day of your hire period in the return boxes out front (return instructions included with garment).

We take care of all the cleaning, so you don't have to worry about that.


In the unlikely event that you returned your rental garment late, late fees of $20 per day delayed will be incurred by the customer.


If your rental garment does not fit as desired, please reach out to us as soon as possible at hello@intheloopvault.com. Post your hire back within 24 hours of delivery and a single-use credit note (minus postage costs and a $30 cancellation fee) will be issued to you once we receive the hire back in its original, unworn condition.
